Tow vehicle & trailer advice - I don't want a pickup

I have 2 bikes, probably getting a 3rd shortly, and I'm looking to buy/lease a vehicle to occasionally tow a bike or 2 to track days, the shop.

I don't want a truck. Wouldn't mind a SUV/CUV...would totally have another wagon (had an Outback & Passat).

So what non-trucks and types of trailers is everyone using?

I'd haul no more that 2 bikes at once.
