Turbo mode on steam controller?

I was playing runescape normally, but I forgot that I had bound my steam controller's left click to turbo mode. Apparently this sets off the macro finder, since I got my first day ban. Can someone verify if this is a real rule, if it it's just the automatic system falsely detecting?
