The nature of Jane's uselessness

SHITPOST

Don't know if this has been discussed, but with Jane "being useless" (if that is the theory you go with) is uselessness a good thing or a bad thing to be? A lot of fanfiction and theorizing has been dedicated to this uselessness, and yet it is implied that to be Jane means to have no "true" free will (alpha timeline) and to be trapped being "useless", thus why the final success of Jane was to not be useless. Note: The reason this personally bothers me is because the whole system of Jane's character is hands down the worst fictional character I have ever come across, complete with an inactive and lame useless character that leads to massive repetition and no possibility and a power system that is personalized to the uselessness of the scene. Hussie himself stated that this was supposed to be a useless character type deal, and yet the ending involves escaping the entire system that has been established.
