A Little Theory I Cooked Up On Aizen's Bankai

To put it simply, I don't think he even has a bankai to begin with. Let me explain.

As I'm sure everyone and their mothers know already, bankai is a prerequisite for being a captain. How is this relevant, we'll get to that later.

As we all know (again) Aizen's shikai ability is his 'OP plz nerf' illusion of the five senses crap. Meaning he can conjure up anything, even if it never even happened, to the affected. An example of this could be Yamamoto streaking through the Soul Society while singing Johnny Cash.

My theory is this, since Aizen never had bankai, and he needed to be a captain for his plans (for some reason), Aizen cooked up a little workaround. When he took the captains test he did his little illusion magic and made every at the test see a made-up shikai and bankai.

Another support to this is that throughout the entirety of his fights, including his fight with Ichigo, he never once used a bankai. And I'm assuming here that even though he was fused to that wish-making rock of his he still had access to all his prior abilities throughout, just to arrogant to use them (he even admitted this). Hell, he didn't even try to pull out anything he didn't use before (like say, a bankai) when Ichigo pulled out his Mugetsu. Likely because he didn't have anything left.
