A Ruby Dream

Lyon rushed down the hall, he'd heard his love screaming in the room over. He kicked down the door and was faced with a brutal scene. His love Sein bloodied, tortured, and pained. A Ruby Project soldier standing over her, laughing, while he watches on with horror. Lyon fails to form words and collapses in despair. Sein's lifeless head turns to face him. Her soulless eyes drilling into his pained one. She mouths the words,

"Why couldn't you save me?"

Lyon wakes up screaming. That was the third time this week that has happened. These dreams have been happening since the first time he was married. He'd come home to his wife and child tortured by Ruby Project soldiers. His scream probably awoke everyone in the house. He sighs and looks at his watch, its not even daylight yet.
