Will i Ever Make a Decent amount of DPS ?

i have 5 months playing wow, Decided to make an Warlock Affli since they have a lot a DPS ratings Over the internet, i almost have all Heroic HFC Items and i still do 20k damage :(

I keep my DoTs up all the time and still no enough dps
