Whispers
Floating in the darkness, an unwillingness to see,
flickering flame casts shadows in my periphery.
Tender tendrils swirling gentle in my light,
Inhale the antidote that makes everything alright.
hush now girl, the whispers come so sweetly,
the stranger in my head always waiting there to greet me.
Lie down in the warmth here and try to get some sleep,
underneath the water there are no promises to keep.
Underneath the water there is quiet. There is peace.
It's there alone your heartache and your tears will finally cease.
it's there alone your sorrows like somber birds will soar away,
I promise you my dear you won't suffer one more day.
Resist no longer child said the Demon in my head.
It will hurt for but a moment
You'll feel better when you're dead
I'm not a very experienced writer, I just wrote this in a moment of overwhelming emotion. The more I read it, the more I liked it so I decided to try and post it somewhere and thats how we got to here.
