Mod Post: Didactic+Internship versus Coordinated Programs

Pinned

In an attempt to create an FAQ for people at all stages of their journey in dietetics, I am creating a series of sticky posts on discreet topics that will get answers now and will be linked to on the sidebar for others to reference. If you have ideas for other similar posts, please give your feedback in the improvements thread.

This post is about the differences, similarities, pros, and cons of doing the DPD+DI route versus the DPD route to obtaining the RD

  • What made you decide between DPD and CPD?

  • What are the risks for each path?

  • Are there large financial differences?

  • Are there specific programs you would recommend for a given practice area?

  • Is DPD vs CPD better for certain types of students? (I.e. career changers, those want to work and do school, parents, etc.)
