Mods please do something about /r/Ghostbusters and /r/TorontoAnarchy invasion

The mods really need to do something.

There's a trolling sub attempting to create drama (and succeeding, thanks to posts like this one) in our sub.

A short list of users involved includes mostly mods but a few others...

There are others.

They are looking up old posts from people and attempting to evoke emotional responses.

EDIT: I'm now a moderator of r/TorontoAnarchy. I will just steer myself off a cliff. Don't let them do to you what they did to me!

What, you think just because I'm not onboard with the reboot I'd be a prick and abuse mod status? Please. The fact is the sub needs mods, there's trolling on both sides that needs to be kept in check and I for one would like to see less of it. I spend a lot of time in this sub. If people want to complain about a lack of mods, its not because there's a shortage of volunteers.

I want to point out the irony of this when compared to your first comment in this thread. Which honestly, I think you were on the receiving end of some of the shit which lead me to make this post in the first place.

I'm here, but I don't agree with this post.

Generally the up and down votes keep this sub pretty much troll free, there are plenty of users and there are plenty of opinions that deserve to be seen over what is a bit of a decisive topic at the moment. The new film.

I always think, let the votes speak as top down censorship tends to lead to more issues.

If someone has any great ideas about some rules the community is happy to get behind, I can enforce them.

Well... all the upvotes say one thing... do your job and find more fucking help... you guys didn't bother to get help before feigbusters hit...3 mods for the most controversial topic of the summer.

Discussion is one thing... this place is infested with trolling party's... if one of the three of you came here to hang you'd see this... users are not being held accountable... you guys let trash spam ads sit on the front page for days...

no censorship is one thing but neglecting your post is another.

Never seen you guys ask for help... never seen you guys post to thr need help mod sub...

I thought it was something heavily serious, like a troll that's not on either side that's trying to cause further fandom division for the lulz and hijack something for top kek or worst, Sony's pr guys coming here - I know that I and the rest of the anti-reboot GB fans will end up in the containment unit, like Stanz1984.

Are there some community guidelines I'm in contravention of? If someone could point to a specific post of mine that is objectionable, please do.

Also, where is the problem with pasting without modification something a user has posted? If you're unwilling to own your words, maybe you should not put them out there. If that's something people don't like, I suggest they try a board that doesn't record users' histories.

If anybody's "invading" the Ghostbusters subreddit, it's all the people shitting on Ghostbusters and its creator. Real Ghostbusters fans, unite!

(Not "The Real Ghostbusters" fans though -- that show changed a lot of stuff, really tarnishing the legacy of '84)

Agreed. I find that the "block" feature makes this sub much more enjoyable (though still mostly not).

The original Commodore 64 videogame had the canon-ignoring option to give the Ghostbusters a Corvette, instead of a hearse.

I am here asking a simple question: Why are all of you grown adult men so angry about a movie YOU HAVEN'T EVEN SEEN YET. If that makes you emotional I think you maybe should talk to your family doctor about some sort of counselling for getting hurt feelings about people asking if you have seen a movie you haven't seen but hate on the internet.
