It's Comforting...
It’s comforting to fall asleep at night with one person on your mind, and knowing that you’re on theirs, too.
It’s comforting to wake up every morning to that person saying “good morning, beautiful”.
It’s comforting when you’re sitting in class and you can’t help but count down the minutes until you see them next.
It’s comforting to hold their hand, and to feel their arms around you when they hug you goodbye.
It’s comforting to see their face after you’ve had a really crappy day.
It’s comforting how they can make everything okay without even saying anything.
It’s comforting to listen to them talk about your future together.
It’s comforting to know that they want nothing more than to spend the rest of their life with you.
But of course good things never last.
One day the world was yours, and the next you have nothing.
At night, your mind goes blank.
When you wake up, you can barely force yourself out of bed.
In class, you replay the fight in your head, thinking of what you should have said instead of staying silent.
You no longer have a hand to hold and no one to hug you goodbye.
When you have a crappy day, no one is there to make it better, which just makes it worse.
There is no one to make everything okay, and nothing is ever okay.
You are the only one in your future, and you question if you even want to live past today.
You want nothing more than to see that one person happy, and they want nothing more than to see you dead.
You tell yourself that you deserve better, but why would anyone love you when you can’t even love yourself?
He regrets saying what he said, I know he does.
You’ll forget about him.
You can do so much better than him.
If he didn’t mean it, he wouldn’t have said it.
He’s the only thing I think of.
I can’t do better than him; I don’t know how I ever deserved him.
He was my first love.
He loved me when I didn’t love myself, but I fucked it up, and now I have no one.
