[Planning] Calorie analysis
How many net calories are you getting from your challenge? I'm assuming 6 JO's, 12 miles, 18 donuts, 24 beers.
Donuts
Krispy Kreme sugar donuts come it at 180 per donut. That's 3240 donut calories. Kick it up to 4680 for Dunkin Donuts' glazed, and more for any chocolate frosted.
Beer
You're going to want something lite, low ABV, maybe a little watery. I'm going with High Life Lite.
110 calories/beer * 24 = 2640 beer calories.
Running
Internet says running burns 0.75 * body weight per mile. I'm a big guy, which helps a little in this calculation. (250)(0.75)(12) = 2250 calories burned.
JO's
Searching turns up estimates of everywhere from 7 to 300 calories/session. Obviously this is going to depend a lot on duration and intensity, but that last handy is going to take a while. Let's say 100/per, for a total of 600.
Total
(3240 + 2640) - (2250 + 600) = +3030 calories gained during the Challenge.
Switching to 24 miles, 18 beers would take this down to only 120. But also I would die trying to run 24 miles.
