I made a makeshift one of these by having a butane tank (for refilling those little hand torches) that had a gas line leading to my palm. I had a string attached from the nozzle to my finger so whenever I moved my wrist upwards it would release gas. Then had a little barbaque lighter igniter over the end of the fuel line and whenever I sparked it, it would ignite the gas and id be shooting fire from my hand.
Stopped that shit when I realized the fuel line was freezing near the tip and if it cracked id probably turn into a fireball.

You just needed to slow the fuel down before it got to the tip and use a brass screen at the tip itself. That would make it cold further upstream and reduce the risk of it cracking, and the brass stops any fire from traveling up the tube or something lame.

It uses flash paper. While you could probably get very slight burns using it point blank I doubt it can hurt you due to the way it burns. It's best not to use it facing other people or yourself though

Ok so this thing is basically made for magicians and illusionists. It uses flash paper and it doesn't really burn at all and it can't really set things on fire if you don't want it to. It's made for like using fire as a flashy act as like producing a card or millions of other things. It's really really mind boggling cool and it's totally worth the price if you are into magic and illusions

I thought this was going to be a comment on 5E Elemental Monks.
Flash paper can also be used in stage shows (if the theater allows it) because the risk of burning is so low. All of the launchers I have seen in the past though have been smaller, to hide under clothes, so I am guessing this is being marketed to thee general public and not performers of any sort.
It's actually a lot smaller than you think it is and it's made for hiding it under clothes. What's cool about the pyro mini is that it can also be used remotely as well. So let's say you out the pyro mini on a chandelier or something. You could use it with a hidden switch in your sleeve to make it go off at any time.
Why would you want both in one? You can get a double barrel hand shooter and devices for placement separately for cheaper, and you would have more shots as well (unless this can do multiple shots). If you have time to rig this to something you would more than likely have time set up another flash devices as well.
I gotta think in a remotely dark, somewhat intimate setting, this would be one hell of an illusion!
