Stickying listicles? And I haven't been involved much with Wikipedia, and even I know that these likely won't come close to "it's worst moments" over like a timespan of 10 years.

More like "recent mini-controversies regarding Wikipedia".

Yes, which is why I literally wrote in my comment that it's from the past year.

This article is a list (with descriptions) of some of the worst moments of Wikipedia in recent history. They all are roughly within the past year, though one of them is the GamerGate article which has been a battleground for longer.

  1. Removing Orlando from the “Islamist Terrorist Attacks” List
  1. Attempting to remove references of left-wing activist’s praise for Osama Bin Laden
  1. Doxing the editor of Adland and revealing her home address
  1. GamerGate, one of the most biased pages on Wikipedia
  1. Placing a long-standing editor on trial for “off-site harassment” without presenting any evidence of such to the wider Wikipedian community — or to the editor!
  1. The Grant Shapps Debacle
  1. Trying To Get A Tech Journalist Fired For Things He Never Said

Wikipedia has a lot of "worst moments", but these aren't even close.

Yeah, I don't know if I'd necessarily put all of these in the "worst of recent memory" category. The Wikicology debacle and James Heilman's unceremonious removal from the board should be pretty high up there.

We're gonna need a bigger list, folks.

Fun stuff. Like a walk down memory lane. Stickied, though?
