If you are using Android Studio, there should be a folder named "gralde" at your project's root. Open it, open its "wrapper" folder, there are 2 files where one of them contains the gradle version number. Set yours there and re-sync.
My current gradle is set to 2.10, when I did change it to 2.14.1 it gave me a lot of errors with my system...
Edit: So apparently the second time trying this it just worked. Well then.
Question, how do I make sure my project is using this new gradle version. I dont know much about how gradle works and how to use it.
From your project's top-level directory:
This - distributionUrl=https://services.gradle.org/distributions/gradle-2.14.1-all.zip?
