Story Time: First Court Martial I've ever been to two months into my first duty station.

Background: I'm fresh out of Tech School when the Shirt says everyone who is not mission essential needs to go to a court martial for a MSgt who works in the unit.

Story: I had recently got my email provisioned, and one of my first emails was from the First Sergeant saying that Legal needed people to sit in the audience of the court martial. I was working front office, so by that time, my first sergeant and I were pretty tight. So i asked him:

We get to legal, and there in front of us is MSgt McNastyass. This is a long court martial and took up the whole day. The hearing starts and as I'm hearing the defense attorney and the judge say what he did, I watched in horror, because at that point, being so fresh out of training, I thought SNCOs were the perfect grade tier in the AF. I was hella wrong.

MSgt McNastyass admits to sexually assaulting his own daughter, videotaping her while she showered, and going into her room and sniffing her undies while she was at school. This dude was sick. The defense attorney literally sounds like he did not want to represent this guy by the way he was talking. Capt Paralegal (defense attorney) was trying to reason with the judge. "Isn't it bad enough that he has to go through the rest of his life knowing what he did to his family? A lesser sentence should be in state." The judge was like "noway fuckthatshit." MSgt McNastyass got demoted to the grade of E-1, so now AB McNastyass, forfeiture of all pay and allowances, and 10 years at Ft. Leavenworth.

AB McNastyass starts crying in front of the judge saying how he knew he fucked up and knew he was fucked in the head, then admits that what he did has caused his daughter to slice her wrists up and had her sent to the hospital and put on suicide watch. He cries to his "soon to be ex" wife saying he didnt mean to ruin the family.

All while my unit and I are sitting there in horror because we all worked with this dude and never knew, because he was the SNCO of the Quarter at MAJCOM level.
