We seriously need a list of who's in a vehicle

I was SL and had to get out of my trans truck for a sec to claim a second vehicle. One of my squad mates was in the driver seat when I hopped back in. He started driving towards the second objective which was north rather than the first which was way to the west, taking the majority of my squad opposite of where we needed to go.

He wouldn't respond to voice, and I had absolutely no idea who it was so I couldn't kick him. Not sure why this feature didn't launch with V7, it's pretty important for organization.
