#All Might

Hero Form/True Form

Background: All Might is a character from the manga My Hero Academia, and is the strongest known character in the series, as well as the number 1 ranked hero in Japan. But before that, Toshinori Yagi was a boy born without a quirk (the in universe term for superpowers) when most people had them. This changed however when he was granted the quirk One for All from his mentor Nana Shimura, the previous holder of One for All. And while Nana Shimura would soon after meet her end at the hands of the villain All for One, Toshinori trained himself and eventually debuted as the hero All Might saving hundreds of people in a few minutes during a disaster. All Might went on to set himself up as the Symbol of Peace, and his mere presence caused crime rates to drop. However five years before the start of the series All Might fought and defeated All for One, but at the cost of many of his internal organs. These injuries sevearly weakened him, causing him to only be able to act as a superhero for 3 hours, before reverting to his true, non-muscular form. Due to this he decided he needed to find a successor for One for All. He searched for many years for a successor with no luck, before eventually deciding to teach at U.A. academy and pass the quirk on to one of the students. However before he could begin his teaching career he met a quirkless boy named Izuku Midoriya, who he decided was worthy enough to possess One for All and become the next symbol of peace.

One for All

Origins of One for All

One the surface One for All simply seems to be a quirk that greatly enhances its users physical capabilities. And while this is true, there is more to it than that. The most important part of All For One is that it can be passed from person to person, with All Might himself as the eighth in wielder of it. In order for One for All to passed down, the recipient must consume some of the DNA of its current holder. The current holder can choose whether or not to pass on the quirk, so it can not be forcibly stolen (though it can be forcibly given away. However the person recieving the quirk must be careful, because if they are not strong enough they will be torn apart by the quirk. Also, if One for All is given to a person that already posses a quirk, that quirk will be added to One for All and passes along as well.

Once a wielder gives away One for All they are not immediately depowered. Instead, they can still use the leftover embers of the quirk to access their super strength. Once these embers are used up completely however, they will be rendered completely powerless.

One last thing to mention is that it is possible that One for All has a bit of a mind of its own, or at least the will of the previous users can still influence it. For example, it once activated on its own for Izuku Midoriya (the current holder of One for All) to break him of mind control. However this has not yet been fully explained, and All Might has demonstrated this.

Notes

---

• All Might's combat style is using his fists in most encounters. When he strikes an opponent, he ususally shouts out a U.S. state followed by the word smash (for example, "Texas Smash!).

• The version of All Might we see in the manga is much weaker than he was in his prime after his injuries against All for One. As such, we really have no idea how strong All Might was in his prime, apart from a comment here and there.

• All Might doesn't even possess One for All for most of the series, as he gives it to Midoriya at the end of chapter 2. The first feat in the strength section is the only feat of note that occurs while he still possess the quirk. After he gives it way, he also comments that he is steadily weakening, and has less and less time during which he can access his power.

• As of this point in the series, All Might has used up all of his quirk. He can still transform into his muscled form for a few moments, but otherwise he is completely depowered.

• During the end of term exam, when he fought against Bakugou and Midoriya, he strapped on weights equal to about half of his weight in order to give him a handicap. Feats that occur during this will be marked as such. Also All Might's weight is stated to be 255 kg at the beginning of the series.

Strength

---

• Sends an amorphous villain "into the stratosphere" with just the wind pressure of his punch, causing the weather to change. Also does this without harming the two kids the villain was holding hostage

• [Weights] Tears up a street and the buildings on either side with the shockwave of a single punch

• With 300 rapid punches, each with over 100% of his strength, he overwhelms Noumu's shock absorption quirk and sends him flying through the wall of the USJ to land about 400 meters away. Worth noting that Noumu's shock absorption let him take All Might's normal blows with no reaction. Also worth noting that he claims that in his prime five punches would have been enough.

• Creates an explosion several stories tall with a backdrop slam

• Cancels out All For One's enhanced Air Propulsion quirk through sheer force. For reference this quirk could send someone flying back through multiple city blocks

• Completely blocks a blast of air that obliterates everything its path, leaving the ground and buildings behind him completely untouched.

• Clash between him and All For One creates an absolutely massive explosion

• Using the United States of Smash, defeats All for One once and for all, using up the last of One for All in the process.

Speed/Agility

---

• Hits Noumu with 300 extremely rapid punches

• After being grabbed by three mid-level Noumu's, spins them around fast enough to produce a vortex and sends each one flying through a different part of the building.

• Leaps from the top of a stadium to the center floor at FTE speeds

• Blitzes and one shots a stong/speedy villain, and then leaps high through the air while commenting on how slow he's getting.

• Blitzes past a group of villains and KOs them all, then blitzes past Tomura and Noumu to rescue several students. Worth noting that both Tomura and Noumu and yet neither could react to All Might.

• [Weights] Casually blitzes Bakugou and Midoriya, and destroys Bakugou's gauntlet before he can fire

• Leaps multiple city blocks in an instant

• Travels 5 killometers in well under what is stated to be 30 seconds. See while All For One states it took All Might 30 seconds since he sent a group of Noumu's at him, that time included him fighting off said opponents which means the actual travel took far less than 30 seconds. And this is considered a sign of how slow he's become.

Durability

---

• While not shown on panel, five years prior to the start of the series he managed to defeat and nearly kill All For One despite being more or less disemboweled. Though he did require a lot of surgery afterwards.

• Takes an extremely powerful punch from Noumu and is barely phased by it.

• [Weights] Takes multiple explosions from Bakugou and is barely hurt by them. For reference Bakugou's explosions can do stuff like this

• [Weights] Takes a massive explosion at point blank range and is only stunned for a few moments. For reference one of these explosions could blast a massive hole through the side of a building.

• [Weights] Takes a massive explosion from Bakugou at point blank range, and then soon after is sent flying by two more, and leaps right back into battle like nothing happened.

• Gets sent flying through multiple city blocks by a blast of air, destroying several buildings in the process

• Sent flying high enough to reach a news helicopter, and then comes crashing back to the ground

• Clashes with All For One, creating a massive explosion. All For One also uses an impact reversal quirk to reflect all of his strength back at him, and yet All Might is still able to fight. Keep in mind this is when he's used up almost all of One for All, to the point he can only apply it to his arms.
