Sunshine Smile

I worked on this poem for at least 3 months. I got totally caught up trying to find the inspiration to finish it. If I had to guess this is probably the 5th draft. Hope it's up to par with the other work on this sub

You step into the ether
watts per square meter
solving the equation in my brain
megawatt smile, I cannot refrain

I'd let you tumble me in media
but your time is at a premium
rough hands gripping precious stones
orange oil and pumice form a paste with aging bones

Elixirs queued up and I've got theories
that light up my brain like 9 volts in series
tired of distraction and white avenues
a name reserved for the brightest few

I long to be the oil that settles in your grip
bright eyes like beacons guiding in ships
to witness a man of such confidence
is to fight desire or face confluence

I want to tangle myself in your hearts wires
when my brain feels like electrical fires
I've got a sunshine smile to light up my dark
and someone to think of when I draw perfect hearts
