High Performance Portable Laptop $1350 or less

Valid Form
  • Total budget and country of purchase: US, Budget is around $1100, would like to stay under $1350

  • Do you prefer a 2 in 1 form factor, good battery life or best specifications to your requirements for the money? Pick or include any that apply. Good battery life, performance and portability are the primary requirements. Must also be able to connect to my 5Ghz Wifi channel. I also download a lot of content (movies, music, books, etc) so need the space to be able to store it without slowing down my computer too much.

  • How important is weight to you? Fairly important, looking for something portable without having to sacrifice too much performance.

  • Which OS do you require? Windows, Linux, Mac. Windows although open to Mac. Looking for windows primarily to not have to re-learn my excel shortcuts but open to a macbook if the pros are convincing enough.

  • Do you have a preferred screen size? If indifferent, put N/A. 14" or less, ideally 13" , 13.5"

  • Are you doing any CAD/video editing/photo editing/gaming? List which programs/games you desire to run. If you have no requirements, put N/A. Must be able to run Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, I do some editing and light gaming.

  • If you're gaming (leave blank if you put N/A above...), do you have certain games you want to play? At what settings and FPS do you want? Potentially overwatch but not really a requirement

  • Any specific requirements such as good keyboard, reliable business grade build quality, touch-screen, finger-print reader, optical drive or good input devices (keyboard/touchpad)? Must be able to connect to 5Ghz wifi. Other than that just looking for something decent so I don't have to upgrade every 2 years.

  • Leave any finishing thoughts here that you may feel are necessary and beneficial to the discussion. Considering the Dell XPS 13 to give an idea of what I'm looking for. Open to waiting a bit before purchasing if there's newer models coming out. If my budget is too low for what I'm looking for please let me know.

For Overwatch I would try to get a dedicated GPU (at least a mid-range one).

What about the [Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga 2-in-1 14" Touch-Screen Laptop] (https://shopineer.com/laptops/Lenovo-ThinkPad-Yoga-2-in-1-14-Touch-Screen-Laptop-THINKPAD-YOGA-14-20FY0002US)?

Alternatively, if you prefer a smaller/lighter laptop, what about the [ASUS Zenbook UX303UB-DH74T] (https://shopineer.com/laptops/ASUS-Zenbook-UX303UB-DH74T)?
