Is Netflix's The Get Down any good?

Recently finished binging Stranger Things, like everyone else in the world, and I've been intrigued by this other Netflix drama I keep seeing: The Get Down. Netflix Originals tend to be really good quality but I thought I'd see what the general mood for the show is. Good? Bad? Amazing? Awful? Binge-it-in-one-night worthy? No spoilers, please!
