[Bug] Gyms in NYC are bugged and inaccessible

I came across a bug that prevents a gym from loading in-game and I have no idea what causes the bug. There are 5 gyms in my area (just from what I see from inside the app and according to other users the issue is in fact spreading across all of Manhattan) that are all controlled by weak Pokemon but the gym does not open/load when I click on it. When I click on one of the 5 gyms in question, my bottom buttons disappear as if the screen is about to switch to the gym page but it just stays in "loading" limbo (aka the spinning loading icon on the top left of the screen spins for a bit and then stops, and the game is frozen).

There doesn't seem to be any other Pokemon in the gym. I am located at Astor Pl and Lafayette Ave in NYC. They have been inaccessible for about 4-5 hours now

I have seen the bug with Grimer and Valor eggxecutor gyms but this one is new to me. I am using an iPhone 6 and have tried to load the gyms on LTE and Wifi. I don't know what the official channels to report a bug are so I thought I should let you guys know at least.
