I'm recording bass for a friend doing a cover of Smashing Pumpkins' Today, and I'm losing either my timing, or my mind (see description).

What happens every time, is I record myself playing bass. I sync my video to his guitar and drums. I realize it's not just I neglected to sync my video well during editing, but it is in fact me that is off. But here's the catch: while playing through the song every time (around 8-9 takes), I listen closely and focus. I don't feel anything wrong. But apparently, I'm rushing. Every time! I haven't talked to my friend Metronome in while. Nice guy, and knows a thing or two about time keeping. Do I spend more time with him, or is it something else? Thanks!
