Warforged: Are they people too?

I was planning on playing a warforged for my latest campaign, but this brought up the question: Is a warforged a construct? The wizard's UA:ebberon states " Even though you were constructed, you are a living creature." would this wording make them, or not make them a construct (for cure wound's sake)?
