Downloaded 17, can't aim kicks?

I downloaded madden 17 yesterday and every time I want to kick off, field goal, or punt I am unable to aim my kicks. I will move left stick and the aim guide will glitch out and then return right to the center. Has anybody experienced this or have a fix? thanks.
