Connecting DAW to midi controller?

I have just received the Akai APC Key 25 Ableton Live Keyboard Controller, 25-Key. And also ordered a focus rite sapphire, which came with pro tools. I would prefer to use protools rather than ableton, and can't seem to fine any videos describing a tutorial regarding the specific controller and DAW. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!
