Hit tier 7, looking to go premium. Advice wanted

Hey guys.
Right so pretty much the title is what it boils down to.
I finally decided to invest in the game as ove made it to tier7 and still enjoying it thoroughly.

I do however need somw advice on what would be a smart purchase for me.

I am not really seriously interested in any premium ships right now unless hey would provide me a means to farm a decent amount of credits while also being fun to play, i am a cruiser main, enjoyed Cleveland and Furutaka immensely. US and russian DDs are nice too.

I would like an extra port slot if possible and atleast 30 days of premium. A few dabloons for captain resets and other misc would be nice.

So what would you suggest as a starter premium purchase?

Edit : also are there any sales or re-releases of ships that i can expect? How is the Lo Yang? I like the idea of it.

Question, does a premium ship provide premium rewards without actually having premium active?
