Jade Plant looking sad :(

I feel so silly posting this, I have had my jade for years and she is so happy and healthy, but all of a sudden she is loosing leaf buds like crazy, but still looks healthy. When I googled the issue everything I read spoke about mealy bugs, but I don't see any bugs at all>

suggestions???
