I know this has been asked before, but is it worth it buying this game in it's current state?

Title. With what TF2 went through in it's latest major update, it has sent MANY players away, and that is not a good feeling. Is the current state of the game good right now? also, my graphics card isn't the best, Intel HD Graphics 4600. and i have 8 GB ram. i hope this game doesn't make my computer burn up .-.
