What do you do during winter?

Hey guys, I am a long time lover of HM, but am new to SDV. Everything's been going great and I LOVE the game so far, but now I'm in Year 1 winter and I have no idea what to grind at.

I have a barn and a coop so the animals keep me a little busy but the planting/harvesting is my favorite part of the game and now that I can't do that I feel lost lol.

Just wondering what everyone did their Year 1 winter and if there are any tips for a new player.
