Durability of Screen on Band 2

I just got a band 2 as a replacement for my band 1 and am wondering how scratch resistant the band 2's screen is. On my first band 1 it got pretty scratched within the first few weeks. When I got my replacement band 1 I started using screen protectors and changing them every month. Since the band 2 is gorilla glass instead of plastic, should I be safe wearing it without protectors?
