My Hope in Year 3: Thorn is effective in PvE more than in PvP

Thorn though hated by many, is an awesome looking gun with an amazing backstory and I would love a reason to use it outside of the Crucible.With my small amount of time with it in PvE it can definitely hold its own because of its fantastic stats and middle column perks.

The poison effect is also surprisingly good for majors with shields because it keeps there shield down for a long while but they could do more with this perk. My suggestion is that you could make Thorn poison contagious to minions of the darkness. Imagine a large hoard of dregs running at you and you pop one with the thorn, the poison could the spread across the Dregs disorientating and damaging them like a sickness. The dregs who were close enough to their dead comrade would possibly die from the contagious poison. Making the poison more effective towards minions of the darkness would also help.

EDIT: By minions of the darkness I mean anything that isn't a guardian as enemies are refereed to by certain perks
