You start by explaining to them how trump is a racist, then they defend him. Then you explain to them in painstaking detail how various attitudes are racist, attitudes they share. Then upon the realization that you are explaining they are racist, they reject it because being racist is a bad thing and they don't want to be associated with racism. The conversation ends with them feeling comfortable in their racism while thinking they aren't a racist
