I don't understand how I'm supposed to get better if I'm playing such laggy games constantly. It's frustrating and seems like the time the I've put in playing friends in training and learning frame data is pointless.

I live in an area where the FGC doesn't exist so I can't play locally. I can't afford better internet, but I'm not losing packets when I ping so idk if it's the server or my opponent's connection. The friends I play with just learn enough to help me set up certain situations and have no desire to further their play so that's out. I'm really at a lose here and my options seem to be to just keep playing laggy matches and losing points or just quit playing entirely. I have kept a cool head up to this point, but I'm so tilted now that I can't even enjoy the game enough to just focus on certain aspects while playing casual because the lag won't let me. Can someone please encourage me or give me advice before I let the dark hado take over?!?!
