[HELP] Parvo

Hoping for a few comforting words. Last week we adopted a sweet little 12 week old puppy from a rescue group. So far so good until I received a call this morning from the rescue lady. One of their other dogs tested positive for Parvo.

The dog that test positive for them was brought in two days before we adopted our puppy. They had limited interaction with each other as the dog with Parvo stayed outside and the puppies were inside although they shared the same backyard for going to the restroom.

In terms of shots the puppy started right on time and just got his 3rd set of shots on Thursday of last week.

That's pretty much all I know at this time. It doesn't sound like the dog who is now sick was symptomatic while our puppy was there and they had limited contact. Not sure if that effects the transmission. The puppy is 8 weeks into his vaccinations so in theory he has some immunity now but the vet says he's about 8 weeks still from full immunity. We were told 7-10 days from infection to symptoms so by that logic Wednesday through Saturday looks to be the time period we are likely to see any symptoms develop. Going to be a long week.

Just fyi the puppy was given DA2PP vaccinations on 7/14, 7/31 and 8/21. He was vaccinated again on the 26th by our vet to be 100% sure (trust but verify).
