Has there been any negative effects in Curacao due to Venezuela's collapse?

I'm traveling to Aruba and Curacao over Christmas for ~10 days, but have been reading that there has been some upticks in crime due to people fleeing Venezuela to Curacao/Aruba. Is there any truth to these claims? Any reason to be concerned traveling with my family and young kids to the islands?
