Getting Out
Magenta needed out. Away from everyone, some place to just be herself and feel her own way. Being an empath was a real pain when you lived in a castle with hundreds of other overly-emotional teenagers, and there weren't any classes to distract you.
Tension was running high in the school right now. Everywhere she went all she heard was excitement over quidditch or nerves about classes or some new relationship drama, mucking up the emotional pool. She was feeling all the tears and fears and joy and hate all at once without a bit of distraction and she couldn't take the push and pull anymore!
She tried to flee to her sacred space, the library, but even there students were muttering loudly about the fairness of the quidditch game. Storming from the library, she was frantic and her brain was over-filling with every passing second. She could feel a panic attack coming on. 'Not here!' She thought, her breath coming faster.
She walked quickly from the castle, she would have run but she had stupidly worn her favourite wedges and not only was she likely to break an ankle, she didn't want to draw attention. Her cheeks her reddening and she could feel the prickle of tears in the corners of her eyes.
Breaking through the doors she flung off her shoes and tore towards the quidditch pitch, of all places. Throwing open the broom shed she grabbed her old firebolt, clumsily dove atop it and shot in to the air.
She barreled upwards, her mind clearing as if she broke out of a cloud. A sigh of relief escaped her as she plummeted back down towards the pitch, spinning like a top. She dipped out of the dive and flew in and out of the hoops. She continued to race up and down the length of the field, letting the bite of the wind relieve her mind of all its clutter.
Feel free to RP, or not :)
