How long will a velociprey set and red pincer be effective in hrs in mh4u

Title I just started using gs and love it. I can't forge chick decapitator since I have no idea how I got the items for it, and where to get more so I just made the gs with the most dmg w/o an element. Will it be OK for all of hr?
