Family opinion?

Ever since I quit taking methadone going on 4 months ago I've been dosing with kratom daily. It's cheap, it's a natural alternative and quite frankly I enjoy the hell out of it. But my extended family gives me nothing but shit over it. "You need to quit that stuff", "blah blah etc etc". Never mind my husband takes it as well and no one says a word. I guess I'm just wondering if anyone else's family gives them shit for it? Just kinda fucked up to me that my father would happily give me a ride to the clinic if need be for my synthetic heroin, but a substance derived from a relative of the coffee plant is just too much for him to handle.

TL;DR: Quit taking methadone,a truly terrible drug, replaced it with kratom and get nothing but shitty attitude from my family.
