[SQ] Dealing With Quite A Bit Of An Issue With Newegg, Would Appreciate Any Advice
Not sure if [SQ] quite fits for this, but I was hoping people here would have more experience than I with dealing with Newegg.
So my issue should be prefaced with a bit of a story.
I've had my laptop, an Asus K501LX-NH52, since last November (could be somewhat helpful). Late last January I dropped it and required the screen to be replaced as a result. Other than the broken screen and a dent on the top of the laptop (though it now seems one of the fans may have also been knocked off balance by the fall), it was perfectly fine. I had bought Newegg's accidental repair policy (ADH, I believe) with Service Net, and sent my laptop to them for repair. Upon getting it back, I found that it would not power on unless it was plugged in, and no battery was recognized by Windows. Looked under the hood only to find out that not only was the battery not plugged into the motherboard, but the connection where it would have been plugged into the motherboard was broken, I'm assuming by Service Net's repair techs, as it hardly seems like damage that could occur through shipping. I looked at the terms of Service Net's policy, and it seems they don't cover damage caused by their own techs.

I contacted Asus about it and they wouldn't cover it either because it would be deemed physical damage, and recommended I go through Newegg to get things set straight.
Now it's clear to see that going through Newegg would be the best/possibly cheapest way to get this straightened out. But how should i go about it? Should I feign ignorance and pretend I don't know what the problem is, or would it be better to just tell them the extent of the problem and ask what they may be able to do for me? Maybe something else entirely?
Any help with this would be very much appreciated, this laptop has been the bane of my existence for the last 7 months.
