Looking for a good Turn Based RPG
I've been on a turn based RPG kick of late, having recently finished FFX (the HD Remaster on PC) and Tokyo Mirage Sessions, both of which I really loved. I've been trying a couple games out, but nothing so far has quite hit the spot.
A couple of specifics, first I'd prefer something I can play on the PC (ideally through steam) or on the Wii U. However I'm open to titles on the PS2, Wii, Gamecube, or Xbox 360.
I'm not a big fan of active turn based systems. One of the things I really enjoy in these games is being able to sit back, think about which of my moves would be best suited to the current situation, and then make a decision. I don't like feeling rushed because if I don't pick a move then my opponents will keep going (I'm looking at you, FFX-2).
And finally, I really like party based combat. Not that I wouldn't consider a title in which you only control one character, but I like it a lot better if you get swap between all your characters when it's their respective turns to move.
On a related note, I've read a couple of posts around the internet saying that if you really like JRPGs then you should probably invest in a PS4. Does anyone here have any thoughts on that notion? Is it worth looking into so that I can play the best JRPGs of the current generation?
