In the market for a 1440p monitor. Talk me down from the Acer Predator XB271HU

Just ordered a Acer Predator XB271HU. It wont ship out until tomorrow so I can still cancel (god bless amazon). Question here is should I not get it? Is there another monitor or two that I could get of equal or greater quality for the same or less money? If it matters I'm ordering in Canada. The Acer Predator XB271HU is 999$
