Is anyone else having small issues with touch recognition?

This is my first curved phone so I'm assuming its just me. But i swear I am getting this somewhat common issue where a touch on the screen isn't getting recognized, and it's causing issues with my typing as well. Haven't had this problem at all before. All I can think is that I'm doing it by touching the edge of the phone screen accidentally while typing. It's doing it with and without the Spigen carbon fiber style tpu case I got, but as I am typing I am fairly sure I'm not touching the sides or applying pressure.

If it is that. I'm hoping it's somewhat common so Samsung might push out an update to adjust sensitivity or something like LG did with the V10 and it's fingerprint sensor update.

Anyways, just curious about you guys with this issue.
