The sack of Driftmark begins

Under cover of darkness, the Vale's fleet arrived upon Driftmark and started spreading terror on the island. The sailors used the full force of their naval weapons to destroy, intimidate, and distract the population, while at the same time allowing the soldiers to land and fight on foot whenever possible.

The Valemen's objective was clear: take hold of the keep, and raze every other structure (or ship, or heavy implement) to the ground. With the bulk of Driftmark's fleet engaged further down the Bay, the invaders were able to score some quick points.
