1440p, 144hz, IPS G-Sync monitors with the least problems?

Despite the steep price of these monitors, I've heard many bad things about certain models/batches, such as earlier batches of the ASUS ROG monitors. Aside from anecdotal evidence ("I have one and it's fine"), are there certain products about which the consensus is to avoid?
