What made you belive the Bible/ have faith in Christ?

A question to everyone on this sub reddit (not touching r/Christianity with a barge pole as I'll get down voted for even quoting scripture). Why do you belive the Bible is correct in this day and age? Was you brought up religious? did you read the Bible and it just spoke to you?

Personally for me this happened over the course of a few months. I grew up as an atheist living in the UK. Never was interested in any faith as I'd being told all my life that their is no God etc. So this wen't on until I left college, I was 20 years of age at this moment in time. I then went through a stage of kind of severe depression because of a lot of things happening in my life. Such as loosing my job and being unfulfilled with life. Work , eat, sleep, work, eat, sleep.

So during this phase I got into conspiracy's, many are credible. During my spare time I looked into the, I studied fiat currency, I studied societies like the Masons,The shriners etc. So I came to the conclusion that these things existed because for me I'd seen more than enough proof they existed. And then people kept saying to read the Bible as many things that were prophesied seem to be unfolding.

I notice a lot of occult symbolism in our modern times, such as the eye of Horus, the 7 pointed star Aleister Crowley normalized (it's also in Game of thrones, the faith's 7 pointed star is the same symbol used by him) and plenty of other odd things.

I then (unlike most people) actually bought a Bible and did my own research on this. I started with the OT, read up to Joshua then skipped to the NT. In doing this I started studying the Biblical prophesy's. Especially the ones that were meant to happen in the future.

I looked into Isaiah 17. On the prophesy of Damascus and Syria being destroyed (happening right now) I looked into Ezekiel 38: Which clearly depicts a future war in which Iran,Russia,Libya,Sudan and possibly Turkey attacks Israel (I can see this shaping up in the current alliance system) The third temple clearly prophesied to be rebuilt and the sacrifices to begin. And sure enough literally today the Temple Institute has appointed a head priest of the upcoming rebuilt third temple. So yeh basically my journey on why I belive the Bible is true, has accurately predicted the future, has accurately predicted past prophesy's and how Jesus was the son of God who came and died for our sins so all who belive on him and repent have everlasting life. I'm just interested how others came to belive the Bible was correct.
