HTC VIVE internal error. How do I fix?

Ive had my htc vive since it came out, (I preorders and ive never had any major issues before this) I reinstalled steam because one of my games were broken and I reinstalled and I fixed it. Now vive wont work. When I launch steam vr it says : There was an internal error. Please click below for more info. (troubleshooting) and there was nothing in trouble shooting about it. My vive isnt completely broken because theres a red light so no major wiring problems. But anyway can anyone help? I'd really appreciate it. Thanks :D
