Two month wait for refinements
Of course there's an Invisalign sub! Why didn't I think of that sooner.
I have been in Invisalign since March 2015, so coming on 18 months really soon. Put in my 35th and last set at the end of June and got refinement molds made July 12, the last day of the last tray. I'm still waiting on refinements and have been in that last tray for two months since starting it. It's yellowed, cracked in many places, and has a rough patch from my clenching/grinding habit that I had long before Invisalign but that wasn't an issue with a 14 day wear schedule. I'm waking up with jaw pain more days than not lately and I'm so over it today. I still haven't heard from my dentist other than she approved the case two weeks ago today and would call ASAP when they came in and do their best to squeeze me in same day. The receptionist started the same day I did way back in March and she's been done for like 6 months. My boyfriends mom started Invisalign after me and has also been done for several months. I really question my decision to do this and wish I would have gone to a full ortho so I could have avoided the resulting bite problem I got from the first 35 trays or just switched to brackets. My teeth are straight but only my canines make contact so I can't really chew food properly, especially softer foods that don't shatter on contact. Enough venting. Sometimes I love stupid Invisalign. Other days I'm over it. I'm very much over it lately.
Anyone else have to wait two months for refinements? I'm so done with this process. And I'm really afraid another year or more trays are coming my way.
Edit: got my trays! Called Monday afternoon and they hadn't seen anything so Dentist checked her tracking and lo and behold it had been delivered and the flakey assistant put it in the back room and told no one. Apparently this was the last straw and the assistant was let go! Wow. Got my trays yesterday. 9 trays will take me into Jan 2017 and 10 new attachments. Fingers crossed this is all that's needed to bring my bite back in line!!
