When levelling gear, is there a way to know the next increment?

They used to show like dammage 789 next level 825 (for example) Did they put the details somewhere else, or were they just that stupid to remove something so useful for absolutely nothing?

If they did actually remove it, why? Does some dev just get up in the morning and suggest to remove soemthinguseful and gets an upvote to procede? What the fk?
