Curious what others think about a new concern of mine...

With the recent reports that some of the election machines were hacked by foreign entities (https://www.yahoo.com/news/fbi-says-foreign-hackers-penetrated-000000175.html) I started thinking of another tactic that could be used to cause damage to the US.

What do people think about the possibility that the most damaging thing that could be done to our election system would be a foreign hack to bolster Clinton's numbers.

It would play into the narrative of the Trump campaign, it would destroy credibility of Clinton as candidate, and would damage both domestic and international faith in the American Government.

It would seem that countries like Russia would benefit from the destabilization wrought throughout the US. Since most of the recent polls (http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/latest_polls/pres_general/, and http://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/2016-election-forecast/) imply that Trump has an uphill battle, and unless he has something truly damning on Hillary it seems nearly impossible for him to win the election. So, foreign entities that recognize this will still try to salvage what they can (i.e. do as much damage as possible).

To me, this would be the best way. "Rig" the election FOR Hillary, cover up where it came from and make some stupid errors to make sure the rigging was noticed.

I know it is a conspiracy theory, but I would like an opinion on whether anyone else feels this might be something a country like Russia would do.
