should we get dsl or cable?

Hi, so I'm wondering if we should get a cable or dsl. We live in a basement and we currently have a cable internet from telus and we're gonna cut it soon. I just wanna ask if we should get a cable or dsl internet. I don't really know the process on how a dsl or cable internet is installed.

here's some pictures since I don't really know which one we should get as replacement for telus http://imgur.com/a/SBNav

here's another where the modem cable is connected to the pvr http://imgur.com/a/tgCIl

thanks.
